The Rev. Scott Alexander Fleming, LMHC, BCC, HEC-C
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Pastoral Clinician, Educator, and Consultant
The Rev. Scott A. Fleming, an ordained minister, has served as a chaplain for nearly two decades and currently works as a Spiritual Care Manager at Orlando Health. His ministry has taken him into community hospitals, level-one trauma centers, and parish settings, where he has provided compassionate care, clinical supervision, and ethical consultation. His congregational ministry includes service as a supply pastor, youth minister, and associate pastor. Alongside his ecclesial work, he is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice with Progress Counseling Group in Winter Garden, Florida, and an active pastoral consultant, educator, workshop facilitator, and community volunteer.
Born and raised in Central Florida, Scott’s vocational call was deeply shaped by his own early experiences with trauma and by witnessing the struggles of family members serving as first responders, military personnel, and clergy. These experiences instilled in him a unique affinity for caring for people facing the emotional, spiritual, and psychological toll of life’s crises. Believing that the counseling relationship is sacred, he counsels from a relational model rooted in the conviction that healing and growth occur only within meaningful relationships. His approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Adlerian Therapy. Scott partners collaboratively with each patient, seeking to foster self-awareness, resilience, and skills for navigating life’s challenges while strengthening relationships and overall well-being.

Scott is a scholar-practitioner of pastoral theology, which he considers essential for the work of clinical pastoral care, pastoral counseling, and chaplaincy.
